Tune in to the next Crossroads of Rockland History on

Monday, November 16, 2020, 9:30 AM, on WRCR 1700 AM and WRCR.com

Author and Rockland County native Tess McCormack will join me to discuss her book Shopping List for Murder. It is the true story of a young girl’s horrific experiences long before the “Me Too” movement would usher in intolerance of abuse, and the courageous lawyer who fought for her future.

Tess will talk about her connection to the story and what inspired her to write the book, then we'll open up the phone lines for listeners' questions and comments.

If you want to read Shopping List for Murder before the broadcast, it is available at Amazon.

About the Author: Tess McCormack was born in Rockland County, New York.  At the young age of 18, she joined the US Air Force communications department in the Pentagon, Washington DC.  Married to her high school sweetheart at 20, she had two sons. Unfortunately, the marriage failed, and Tess found herself in a divorce lawyer’s office at the tender age of 28.  That lawyer was Gil McCormack, a war hero who was driven to find justice for the underdog. The two fell in love, married, and had a daughter.  Gil encouraged Tess’s love of writing and communication, and as a result, she has written two books, numerous published articles, and has been a producer host and writer for both radio and TV shows.  As dedicated to helping others as her husband, Tess was honored with an honorary doctorate from St Thomas Aquinas College for her contributions and has served on numerous boards, supporting charitable organizations Rockland hospitals and hospice funding.
